Why do I need to keep the website updated?
Keeping your website secure is the main reason to ensure it stays up to date. Outdated frameworks, plugins, and themes can become susceptible to vulnerabilities. Other benefits of regular updates include improved speed, access to new features, bug fixes, and better compatibility.
Why do I need an ongoing plan when my web host updates my WordPress version?
Web hosting providers might update your WordPress software, but it’s important to check their policies, as not all of them do. However, all web hosts will leave the responsibility of updating your plugins and themes to you.
Plugins are developed by various authors and are frequently updated to stay compatible with the latest WordPress version and to fix security issues and bugs. It’s not guaranteed that mandatory WordPress updates won’t cause issues with your website, or that plugins will work properly if they aren’t kept up to date.
When is payment due?
Payment is due 30 days prior to the annual renewal date. Delay in payment could cause downtime for your website.
How do I contact you when I need a content update?
You can submit any requests through our contact page, and we will respond during regular business hours.
What is included in the monthly support time?
Your monthly support time covers services like answering questions, resolving issues, editing content, or making general improvements.
For requests outside of this scope or additional tasks, we can provide a separate quote.
Does unused support time roll over?
No, any unused time does not carry over. Plans are valid from the first day to the last day of each month.
What are your response times?
Our goal is to respond to all support tickets within 2 business days for the base plan and within 1 business day for the premium plan. However, resolving the actual request or issue may take additional time.
You didn't build my site, can I still get a support plan?
Support plans are usually available only for websites we have created.
If you have an older website or a site not developed by EP Studio, please reach out to us. We can evaluate it on a case-by-case basis.
Do the plans include SEO?
When we develop websites and make content updates, we consider SEO best practices like using Alt tags, setting up SEO plugins, optimizing images, and enhancing page speed. However, we are not a SEO company and therefore do not provide additional SEO services or monitoring.
What if something breaks or is not compatible?
Occasionally, updates to frameworks, themes, or plugins can cause issues or disrupt functionality. In such cases, we keep monthly backups that allow us to roll back these updates. While troubleshooting and fixes are not covered under the monthly maintenance plan, they can be addressed using your allocated monthly hours. If you exceed your plan’s hours, additional work will be billed at our standard hourly rate.
Can I upgrade my plan?
Yes, please contact us to request an upgrade.
Does the plan include migration?
We are not responsible for migrating websites.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our Maintenance Plans are billed on an annual basis. Refunds are not offered for cancellations made partway through the plan. If you choose not to renew at the end of your annual plan, please inform us 30 days before the renewal date.
